Most do. If you have a good woman at home then you don't need one!
Midlife crisis's are caused by something being unfilled at home or work. The anxiety of getting older and thinking about the things you missed when you were younger makes you want to do things you may regret later.
By the way, women have them too!!! Mine did.

A mid-life crisis happens to people who don't think in their everyday lives and suddenly wake up and start thinking about things. At this point they suddenly start asking deep questions like "what am I doing in my life," and since they never addressed such questions before, it overwhelms them.
I ask these questions to myself constantly. So no, I have not had a mid-life crisis. Instead, my whole life has been one non-stop crisis.

Some do, some don't. Times and circumstances can change and make you feel disconnected. This is usually confused with a mid-life crisis.

Not yet, I do not think (I am 35). I did "grow up" and stop the partying when I was about 26, that would count as a change in lifestyle because I went back to school, got my degree, etc

Yes, we do, and Yes, I have! It's as real as menopause in women. I was forty when I started mine. For 22 years of marriage, I was a "yes" man, whatever you say dear, you're the boss dear.Yes, I am a worthless piece of sh**....you're right dear. When I got 40, I started thinking.....you know, I'm NOT a piece of sh**! I'm a decent guy! So, I began to correct her and stand up for myself......I believed in ME! She left with a young man soon after that(one she could control), and I have been single since....but confident!

I would say I did. In our marriage we had lost our definition of ourselves and I started to look for that elsewhere. Big mistake. It stopped before it went too far and we talked things out and realized we needed some time to ourselves, away from the kids to be adults again. It's been all uphill ever since.

I think guys who are uptight, and too straight-laced, eventually have one (like my Dad).
I've taken his experience to heart and avoided that fate. Have fun, work out, and go crazy every once in a while. That's the ticket.
