I'm a lesbian, been this way for many years now.I have a partner that I'm very much in love with, sometimes I feel like I'm not happy being who I am. I feel like I'm being punished for being who I am, because things are not looking up for me right now.The blessing is That my partner loves me and cares very much for me, and we live in different parts of the country.

I'm sorry your life isn't looking up right now. Long distance relationships are hard for anyone, gay or straight. (I'm doing it right now too, and my boyfriend was in Iraq for a year before too...that was especially hard). I am sorry you feel you are being punished for being who you are. Society just hasn't caught up to you yet. It will get better. I'm glad you have someone that loves you!

As a lesbian myself, I really feel as though you shouldn't feel as if you're being punished for being the way that you are. Life is too short to worry about conforming to society...just do what makes you happy and good things will definitely follow!
You know what they say afterall, when it rains, it pours. A bad time in your life is no reflection on your lifestyle...even church-going, do-rite, nice people have bad times...
Keep doing what makes you happy and just know that you'll make it through this rough time...

I think living in different parts of the country would be very hard. Also there are a lot of places where people are very intollerant. I hope you two can eventually find a way to move so you can live together. Maybe somewhere where you can have a big comunity of people to support you.

Dont think in this way.You were lesbian for many years.Its ok.And now you got a partner whom you really love.So the problem solved.You love your partner and so go with the partner.---the love.And speak to ur lesbian friend that you got your love so that he will find his partner too.Sometimes this happens.But be frank to ur lesbian friend so that he will not feel bad and he can help you for living with ur love.Dont worry.You are not wrong.
