All I ever hear from my democrat friends is how horrible America is. IThey talk about it like we are the worst country in the world, then I hear them talking about how great places like Cuba and France are. They always say America has the worst health care, yet I can't think of any other place on the earth I would want to be if I had cancer. They say there are not jobs, yet I dont know of a place to prosper more in the world. They say we are not a free society, but when I ask where is they only use places like amsterdam where its drug infested. They say Bush is the devil and people like Saddam and other dictators are not that bad. I just dont understand it.

I started feeling like they are just bitter in life. Most of them make little money compared to me, they work dead end jobs (because they are too lazy to try something new, or learn something new), they smoke weed and they generally are just complainers. Is the democratic party they party of complainers?

I believe we in America enjoy great health-care. Does the Government hand it to us (at extreme great costs to us), that answer would be NO. Thank God. Since we are adding jobs every day, I don't know what that is about. These people are however free to move to France of Cuba if socialism is the lifestyle they choose to live. I choose to live in a free democratic capitalistic country. Quit trying to change my country and get the hell out, there are enough other countries around the world that you can choose from. Just be sure you learn there language.

This kind of post is exactly why I hate both the Republican and Democratic parties.

You are right, many democrats say the US is an evil country and that it is totally responsible for everything that goes wrong in the world, yet have no ideas of their own. The rest of the world is a victim, the US is the villain.

It is also true that many republicans believe the US is THE perfect nation, populated and governed by mistake free Gods and not human beings that can make mistakes. All other countries are wrong, the US is always right.

That is why the US is so troubled. No new political party in 100 years!! That is not a democracy...

I'm a libertarian.

This crap has got to stop. This country didn't live through the mess that was vietnam so conservatives can call me unpatriotic just because i think the war was a useless stupid waste of money that kills Iraqis and Americans alike.

I'm ten times the american you are...because I don't call you unpatriotic just because I disagree with you. Thats what this country is really about. Freedom of speech and expression.

You lump everyone into groups because your brain is too small for you to realize that people are different and prejudice is moronic.

When I hold up a sign that says "GO SADAMN" you can call me unpatriotic.

Americas a great place to get cancer....if you have health insurance. Ever been to amsterdam? It's pretty nice there. I make less money then you because I decided to goto school and have a happy life which may not make me weathly....but I least I won't be a crusty stupid conservative whose constantly worried about one thing...money.

If you had the slightest clue about freedom and democracy and what it means to be american...then maybe you'd understand why democrats love america.

They probably don't hate America. They probably just hate you because you can't ask a legitimate question. You can only spout off a rant that stereotypes 45% of the people in this country.

Here's a hint for you: The 10 States having the highest per-capita income? 8 of them are "blue states". All ten of the lowest income states? "Red states." So, you're argument about liberals being poor - untrue. They just care about the poor. Considering only about 7% of American smoke pot on a regular basis, you must really hang out with a large number of them if everyone you know smokes weed. Of the ten states that have the lowest divorce rates, nine are blue states (the tenth could qualify as Purple, because it voted for Gore in '00 and Bush in '04). Of the ten states with the highest divorce rates? 9 are red states.
Your little statement about the Netherlands?
How 'bout these stats: HIV infection rates in the Netherlands: 72 people per million; in the US: 149
Teenage pregnancy in the Netherlands: 6.2 per 1000; in the US: 48.8 per 1000.
So, the US is a great nation, but your little statement about it being "drug infested"? Drugs may be prevalant, but how do you argue against an HIV infection rate 1/2 that of the US, and a teen pregnancy rate 8 times lower? It's one of the most liberal nations on the globe, and yet the US's conservative policies result in much greater numbers?

Nobody hates America the way you think they do. A true patriot is aware of his nation's flaw and works to fix them.

Well, Republicans complain just as loud and just as long.

Your "friend" (if he really exists) is just a whiner. Political affiliation has nothing to do with his skewed view of the world.

It is true that the American Health Care program could operate better (most cite Canada and England has having better health care programs), but it's not the worst.

As far as smoking weed and being aimless, that is a choice your "friend" made for themselves.

I think it's mostly people like that who associate more with the Democratic Party, not because the party really stands by their beliefs so much, but because they get more sympathy from that side of the aisle.

Don't worry the Republican will complain just as much when them Dems are back in power. Its is in peoples nature to complain. Republican are still complaining about Clinton point in case. Its just a matter of who has control. That what people are really complain about. CONTROL EVERYONE WANTS IT!

I'm a right winger myself, but I think you lump them into one pile. They are not all like Robert Bird, which who , by the way, was in the KKK, and voted AGAINST civil rights,,, what a piller of society. Hes a liberal. But they are ALL not THAT bad. But, yes, I do think they complain more than the republicans.

Democrats are shamed by America....that's not hatred....that's realizing the problem and talking verbal steps to enlighten arrogant azzes like yourself how faked up they are.

They simply want to motivate those who think like they do to vote for their side. Fear and Hate are great motivators. Sadly my side does it too, but I think the Democrats do it with more issues.
