Grooming shouldn't be any different at a show than it is at home.

Your horse should be curried and brushed both before and after your ride. If you need to hose your horse off after it has been ridden, groom it after it has dried (this will reduce the likelihood of your horse wanting to roll). Show Sheen should only be used in tails, and you should use your fingers to pick out shavings (this will reduce breakage).

Trim whiskers, ears, and fetlocks at home before you go.

Bath them, I recommend Mane & Tail brand shampoo and conditioner. Spray some show sheen on them, brush all the tangles out of their manes and tails, paint their hooves if you like... they make a special product for that... and I recommend pulling their mane (basically breaking it at a shorter length) like race horses are.

Clip their ears nose face legs bridle path and jaw. Bathe them shine their hooves with hoof polish. Make sure your shoes are new and in good repaire. Brush her with a fine soft brush before you go in the ring and braid the mane and tail

Laser sheen is what I use on my filly. And lots and lots of conditioner! Also, after you bathe your horse, walk him/her until dry so that they don't go roll in the dirt.
