I love the low throaty rumble of distant summer lightning.
I like the sound a chair makes sliding along a floor in a large echoey room. Kubrick uses this sound very effectively in 2001, during the last scene in the white room.
The sound of loons in a swamp at night, and the whirring sound of pheasants taking off from cover.
The crunch of fresh packed snow, very appealing.
Here's an interesting sound. If you can get away with it, take a heavy stick and walk up to a MacDonald's Arch, the free standing ones you see by the Highway. Give that sucker a whack. The sound will start where you are, go coursing up and over the arch and then come ricochetting back. I did this in Berkley California once, and people gathered around to do it themselves til the manager came out and threatened us.

I love the sound of the mall at Christmas, I love the sound of the fountain on my balcony. I love to hear waves crashing on the beach, or wind whooshing through the trees.

I love the sound of a roaring crowd at a concert or professional sporting event. The thought of thousands of people cheering and getting excited at one time over something is so awesome to me.

The sound of a purring kitten.
The sound of laughter of children at play.
The sound of a baby's first cry when they enter this world.
The sound of rain falling on a tin roof.
The sound of birds in the morning outside my window.
The sound of water rushing over the rocks in a stream.
The sound of your partner breathing while they sleep next to you.
The sound of a flute playing a beautiful melody.
The sound of coins falling into a piggy bank by your child who decides to save their money for a new toy.
The sounds of laughter and harmony from our world in peace, is a sound I wish to hear now.

The crickets at night, the waves smashing against rocks, my cat purring (it helps me sleep), my bird singing and people laughing and my favorite music, bare feet on the floor, leaves and snow under my feet.

Rain, rushing water (like a creek or oceansurf), a baby's giggle, my kids saying "I love you Mom".
