Thanks for all the answers. I don't smoke, isn't overweight, goes to gym, eat healthy. Haven't use any form of contraceptive for about 7 years. Clotting only started in January this year. Since I started Evra 8 weeks ago I didn't menstruate and never had any problems with clotting and for the first time this year PI is normal on Warfarin. According to gynaecologist clotting is because of hormonal imbalance. Will a hysterectomy be the answer?

I guess it really depends on which hormones are unbalanced. And actually it would be the removal of the ovaries, not a hysterectomy which only removes the uterus which would be removed if estrogen was the problem.

Get a 2nd opinoin, you gynecologist is crazy. You do not need a hysterectomy. If you do, it will be the 1st time I ever heard that one. You probably should see a hematologist to check your clotting factors. Some times problems in your clotting mechanism causes you to become hypercoagulable. There is a name for it, but I cannot remember what it is. I have given high doses of coumadin(warfarin) to these pts before to keep their blood from clotting. I am in no way a specialist but I am an onco nurse and work with hematologist. You need to see a hematologist not a gynecologist for your problem.
