Roxy is owned by Quicksilver which owns Rossignol Skis and Mervin Manufacturing (which makes Gnu and Lib-Tech snowboards). A Roxy board is probably going to be made by either Rossignol or Mervin which are both top quality companies. I do have a bit of a problem with the Roxy snowboard line but to be honest it is just personnal opinion.

Roxy is a clothing company that makes t-shirts, bikinis, shorts and all sorts of cute stuff. They are NOT a snowboard company. This just an example of a huge company like Quicksilver trying to cash in on a popular name even though it has very little to do with snowboarding. There are many great companies out there that have been making snowboards for years and years and do it very well. Check out the womens specific stuff from Burton, Santa Cruz, K2, Rossignol, Gnu or any of dozens of great smaller brands you'll find at your local snowboard shop.

Head to a good board shop, not a big box place like Copelands or Big 5, and talk to the people there. The thing about the smaller shops is that most of the people working there actually ride and know what they are talking about. Good luck with your search and remember, there is more to snowboarding than the name or the graphics on your board.

Have fun.
