You should have one or two drinks. This is not a fraternity party; it's your place of employment. The open bar is a courtesy, not an invitation to go nuts. Even if others who work for the company go to town, don't follow their lead. Save the serious partying for your private life. It's horribly difficult to regain lost respect. Remember especially as an intern, you have to ask for references someday.

Well, if you are the new intern its best to stick to two drinks. However, once you have been there a while you will most likely get a feel for the company and the expectations at these parties.

You should consider any party at work to be "work" and therefore should maintain your professioanlism at all times. I have seen some stupid people over the years throw their careers down the drain because of indiscretion and company events.
Have no more than 2 alcoholic beverages, or better yet, only 1.

Before a company Christmas party, knowing several guys were there to get blitzed, I once told an visiting out-of-town executive partner for my company: "Remember, the folks are hear to have a good time, so don't judge their work performance by their after hours behaviour."
The next day, three were fired.

u should always get as drunk as humanly possible and u should always tell yer boss what u think of him . he will respect u fer this and probably give u a raise or a promotion. while yer at it take a swing at him beat the living poop outta him u deserve it. after all u r a hard worker.

NEVER NEVER get drunk at a company function,you can be dismissed from your job,you are on Company time and are representing the Company,keep your head and get drunk on your own time.

It's a mistake to get hammered with co-workers.Alcohol loostens lips but doesnt always wipe the memory.

get as drunk as u can handle without getting out of crontol. also make sure u r not driving
