I definitely think so. Nadal is the only person who can truly outplay him... and it's definitely getting to him. It's a shame Nadal couldn't play better at Wimbledon because he really could've taken it.

I didn't think it was as close as everyone wanted to make it out to be. Nadal gets the hype because nobody else can really compete with Federer. When Federer went up two sets to none, did you honestly think Nadal could beat him three straight sets? Of course not. Federer won when it was important, the first tie breaker. Nadal will eventually be a great matchup for Federere, on surfaces other than clay, but right now there is no contest as to who owns the grass. Federere knows it and Nadal does as well.

I think he is, to some extent. That's part of a great rivalry, though. I do think that after Roger won Wimbledon, he seemed to be a little bit more at-ease with Nadal. The US Open should be interesting.
And to someone who posted before earlier: Federer is 1-4 against Nadal this year, 2-6 career.

I don't think so right now since Federer won Sunday's match. I do agree with you Federer was little bit more fired up than usual. Roger knew he HAD to win Sunday's match, if not he really would have been doubting himself big time going into the US Open series this summer, and ultimately at the Open. So I'm sure Roger is relieved that he beat Rafa on Sunday. But Rafa has to feel good about himself also when nobody thought he could get to final at Wimbledon. Should be a great summer for tennis!!!!!

Yes of course, Federer is 1-6 against Nadal, and 55-0 against all other players this year....Federer is considered one of the great right now, but if Nadal is able to beat Federer at clay tournaments, Nadal will always be in Federer's head.

To an extent, yes...since he's the only player who's defeated Federer this season. Roger REALLY needed to win Wimbledon to regain some mental confidence.
They're both amazing players, and I'm looking forward to the summer hardcourt season. I'll be attending the ATP Masters Series Canada in Toronto in August. Last year, that was Nadal's first and only hardcourt title so far.
After Wimbledon, he's clearly shown that he's capable of winning on any surface.

Of course! Nadal is getting good and Federer should be getting scared. One day Nadal will beat Federer on grass.

Yeah. Obviously. Nadal is a relatively inexperienced grass courter and federer who is like supposed to be the"king of grass" could not finish him off in three sets. Rafa Rocks. Federer sucks

I think that Federer regularly thinks about Nadal. Especially when he has to play him on the clay surface at Roland Garros
