Vasectomy is a minor operation that is usually done at a doctor's office or at a clinic. You are awake during the surgery, which usually takes no more than 30 minutes. First, the hair is clipped from the scrotum. The doctor injects a local anesthetic into the skin of your scrotum to numb it. Then the doctor makes one or two small cuts in the skin of the scrotum through which the tubes are gently lifted out. The doctor cuts the tubes, and may remove a small piece of each. The cut ends are tied or sealed with electric current. The openings in the scrotum are closed with small stitches. After a short rest (usually half an hour) you can go home.

Also, make sure that you get a statement from the Doctor saying that you have had a Vasectomy. Put this in a good safe place.
Might stop a law suit down the road. Some one claiming that you are a Papa.

not at all bud. After mine, I got even more amourous. I think it was because I could enjoy sex without worrying about creating yet another mouth to feed!! Just be sure you want one before having it done, because reversals can work, but I hear they are very painful!

never, a vasectomy infact increses the sex drive, bcoz of psychological freedom ...that pregnancy is out of the question...

Nope - it only keeps him from being able to get me pregnant.
He will still ejaculate (thank god) and still want plenty of sex - he just won't be able to get a girl pregnant.
It's the ideal situation.
