I want to have a tangible skill to take overseas...how long does it take to get a physical therapy degree?

3 years of graduate school are required to earn your degree in PT. The pre-requisites are heavy in math and science. Included during those 3 years is intensive studies and 6-8 months of clinical internships. You cannot get your license until after you graduate and get your Masters (actually, it will most likely be a doctorate).

If this sounds like too much work, you could explore kinesiology or physical therapy assistant (1-2 years).

I think the answer is no. You would have to first be a P.T. to apply for a masters. You have to be accepted into a program and I do not think you can get a masters in a specialty without having a license as an undergraduate.
