None of you were quite sure about who was the first to be filmed. So I'll tell ya. The last US President to serve in the Civil War and the first to have his inauguration filmed was none other than William McKinley.

McKinnley. He have served in the Union army in the Civil War, while his successors were either too young or not yet born. Not sure about the filming, but it would have been possible.

Probably McKinley, but Garfield was a Civil War Vet.

No it's Abe Lincoln!! He was president at that time but he still served in the civil war.
