I had a good job but knew I needed a BA in order to go any further. So I quit went back and got my degree. Now I cant find a job at all, not even one unrelated to my degree. So no I dont use my degree!
I think its great that there are so many options, it gives a person a better idea of what to get into, lots of people (professors) with diff. backgrounds to talk to, and even if one does know what they want to major in there are more courses to offer a well rounded curriculum. Masters has always been a way to get more specialized training but for many fields you dont need a masters to learn what you need so a specialized BA comes in handy.
Currently I am working on my masters degree and I know w/o a doubt I will find a job with it. Appears these days a BA is no big deal....sort of the norm. I dont know how someone with only a high school degree can get by!!!

Yes, very much. I have an associate's degree from a technical college...although I regret going to a tech school rather than a 4 year university...in the end it has worked out very well. I am happy with my education and expertise. I always recommend going to college when you are young rather then trying to make up for it later on in life. My degree is specialized in digital media, and that is exactly what I have been doing professionally for 5 years...now I want to move into something else...do I am now taking classes to get my BA in Marketing. Good luck! Hope this helps!

yes I'm using my degree. Lots of the things that I learned in classes and my internship are useful here. I'm glad that you don't have to go all the way to a master's to get some specialization. People can work in fields other than their major, sometimes just having a degree helps get the job.

I just graduated with my second degree and I'm not using it at all. All the programs are so specialized that I'm not qualified for much of anything even though I have an associates and a bachelors degree.

I also have a level in movie, and that i'm a secure practices supervisor for a international tech enterprise (3 years now). on no account appropriate! My interest is extremely exciting, yet no longer what i am going with to do for something of my existence. I do volunteer artwork for as much as 30 hours each week, the place I write, direct, and act, so as that enables! i've got heard that, on regular, human beings used to alter careers (no longer jobs, yet careers) as much as 5 situations of their existence. Now, it fairly is closer to 9! So I parent I even have some greater hopping around earlier than me...

I am sort of using my college degree...I am a writer for a magazine. My degree was in Journalism: Broadcast, but I ended up going into print. Same thing basically, just writing instead of talking.

yes and no. i'm using a lot of the things i've learned in college but i'm not working in my field of study(Engineering). i had a very general degree. in college i learned how to discipline myself and a lot of problem solving techniques. high school was a joke. i didn't learn any of that until i went to college.
i'm not really using that much i learned in my classes but i wouldn't have gotten my job without my college degree. if you want to specialize you go for your masters or beyond.

i'm working for a magazine as layout designer, it's in my field of studies, but i use a very small part of my education. It was though very helpful to have studied my specialisation in a general way.. it widen up your views and teach you how to take the right decision in any problem encountered
