I think the 50's explored what music really had to offer. Look at all the legends that came out of that era.

Best music came from the 60's, Dylan, Beatles, Stones etc etc
The 50's had alot of good music too.
The 80's had a few good artists procucing music.
The 90's were OK with Nirvana but little else.
The 70's were really lame, but some people like Elvis Costello, Herbie Hancock and The Clash were good.
The 00's really suck!

1 .80s
2. 60s
3. 90s
4. 70s
5. 00s

80s had such a plethora of different styles (rap, rock, pop). There was so much out there to choose from. The 60s was the general beginning of "rock/pop" music--so lots of cool sounds from Motown to Elvis. The 90s brought the alternative scence to the stage--as well as an insurgence of hip hop music. The 70s--ick, disco. (need I say more). The 00s--all it is is recycled same sounding stuff from decades past. Nothing new that I have seen. Manufactured "pop" groups--boring songs with weak singers. No thank you.

1. 60's because it was such an original wave that uprooted everything known about music
2. 90's - Lots of new types of music (hip hop, trance, electronica, etc.)
3. 70's - Funk, Classic Rock, Pop, some serious cheese
4. 00's - still TBD, but almost ahead of 80's
4. 80s - Some good pop, also has some of the worst, forgettable music.
6. 50's - yuck
