It seems weird that people older than 30 are posting on My Space. It looks like they are trying to hook up with teens or act youthful. Shouldn't they have their own "Our Space" for older adults and give teens their "space" back?

Yes! Amen! I'm 32 and wouldn't be caught DEAD with a myspace page. I haven't even looked, not even curious, and would probably be annoyed to find that some of my peers are there. It's for my jr. high student, thanks.

Actually, i think it's more pathetic to see some of the pages the teens have up. To me it seems less like the 30 somethings are trying to look youthful and more like the teenie boppers are trying once again to act years older with consequences they can't possibly predict. I'm only 23 myself, but I think myspace is an online community for EVERYONE. My dad is on myspace, and i know for a fact that with his busy schedule and 4 kids to keep up with if it weren't for Myspace the poor guy would have no social life. If those pages bother you, stick to looking at the pages of other teenagers, afterall, if your a teen, thats pretty much all you should be talking to online anyway.

As surprising as it may sound, it is possible for a younger person to have friends who may be *gasp* over 30 without that person being a pedophile. It's just the media that has blown everything out of proportion to the point where children and adults are afraid to socialize. I grew up hanging around a lot of older people, and I learned a lot from them. The vast majority of adults are perfectly fine, sane, human beings.

Um... you do realize that Tom, the creator of MySpace, is over 30 right?? MySpace is a place for people to connect with those they thought they'd never talk to again. Like those they went to highschool with years ago. Probably before you were born. Who do you have to "connect" with?? People at your grade school you see every day??

I think everyone under the age of 18 should be banned from using MySpace.

A lot of pedophiles do go to that site.
The one with the computer goes where ever they want. How do you know that they are all teens and college kids any way it could be old people trying to act like kids.
But you do have a right to think what you think.

I think that if you are under the age of 18 you shouldn't be on there anyway. Teens should have no space on the net without a parent supervising.

I think that MySpace should go back to being used for what it was originally intended for - for up-and-coming bands to be able to promote themselves.

So no, I don't think that we should "give teens their 'space' back," because it wasn't teens' space to begin with.

P.S. What is a "college age kid"? If you are over 18 - as the majority of college students are - you are legally an adult. So make up your mind whether you want MySpace to be for "kids," for "teens," or for "adults." Thanks.

There's no law against it, little girl.
If anything, people under 18 should be banned from MySpace.
I can't stand those flashy, "pimped up" pages that teens make which freeze my computer and take like a minute to load. The purpose of MySpace is to communicate with friends, co-workers, and people who you went to school with. Teens ruined it.

Tom wouldn't be making 580 million if he limits what age can use Myspace. Plus many people aren't settlle down till mid to late 30's so they are partying as much as 21 year olds.

I think age should not matter, you dont and shouldnt authorize anyone you dont know right? After all how are you sure the *teens and college* users are who and what they say they are?

I personally would not be on myspace (im 38) I would feel like a menopausal, mid life crisis, wannabe 21 idiot.

Quite frankly, I think anyone on "My Space" is foolish. And, BTW, while you're banning the senior citizens of the world, how about letting the under 12 crowd know they should stay away as well. Don't you know...... you can't ever trust the ages people give or pictures they post on those types of websites.....get real!!!!!
