The inverted pentacle/pentagram is not significally evil. The star was taken by several groups to make an image of a rams head or the devil. But the star it self is not evil. The way it is, is for grounding. Also it has the name of God inscribed on it. It is for protection as well.
Yahzmin19904 is misinformed. They are not the names. Start from the lower left part. Tet-Rag-Ram-Mat-On= Tetragrammaton-the Unspeakable Name of God. LOOK IT UP!

Icatorio is wrong. The star that witches use also represent the 5 wounds of Christ. And I believe that you have no concept of the pagan history, and if you did, you would know that, an inverted star is a grounding tool...Since Satanist use this star inverted, the energy that they put out, just gets grounded. It actually doesn't take any effect. And if you would take a look outside of your lil box, you would know a little more about Christianity than what you were taught. God goes by many names, El Shaddai, Elohim, Abba Father, Adonai....Why not take some of your time and look this up.!

Ok, picking a nit here.
The pentagram/pentacle is often associated with Wicca, but it is a completely neutral symbol used by many different religions/people. It is a protective seal, keeping harmful things away from the wearer/user.

It is a pentagram, a magickal symbol (wiccan), depicting the 5 elements of magick: earth air fire water and ether. The words correspond to those five elements. Check out wicca sites for further information.
A very nice person sent me an email telling me that I gave you wrong information about the meaning of the words on the pentagram. I've tried to email that person to say thanks (I hate to flub something, but really prefer to have it pointed out to me if I do, so, yes, thanks!!!), so anyway that person says it is "Tet-Rag-Ram-Mat-on" = Tetragrammaton-the Unspeakable Name of God. Thank you again celtic_majik_21 -- I tried, really!

mmm, additional..... the pentacle of yours is upside down... All I know is that if it is pointing upward... it is for good... and if it is upside down... its evil.... I search a little about the tetragrammaton, other words for that is Yahweh... something like that... the meaning of Yahweh for me is God... it is Christ... maybe that pentagram of your is an Anti-Christ symbol.... just an idea... never expect someone to believe.... just sharing... I hope it make sense....
