Smile, because God gave you lips,
Hurt, because God gave you a heart...

I agree.Even though I found a love that turned out to be the worst thing possible for me after 22 years of marriage. To love someone with every part of yourself and then have them turn out to be very wrong for you hurts deeply.Like I said I wish to never experience that pain again.Being in love is great but having someone love you the same amount or more is so much better. My husband and I have been together now for 6 years and still love each other.Been heart broken and found that there is still love for someone who had their heart ripped out and stomped on by another person.Someone to love is out there for everyone who seeks this love.

I had always thought so, in general. That is until I met the person that I consider to be the end-all be-all most special love in my life. Now I'm on the fence, because I'm feeling that in THIS specific case the heartbreak from losing him would probably outweigh the memory of love and be unbearably painful for a long, long time.

If he is the same one who is talking to other girls on MySpace, than you are better off without him!! If he isn't taking the relationship seriously than it is his loss.. Every time you want to pick up the phone to talk to him just remember the heartache he has caused you. You deserve someone who will take the relationship as seriously as you do. Remember to take care of you. So to answer your question, It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all....... If you LEARN FROM IT and apply what you learned in your next relationship!!

I know it is hard but hang in there. He is NOT the last man on earth that is capable of loving you!

If you loved once, you can love again. I have been heart broken, so I'm not just saying that. You will never love the same way, but that doesn't mean it won't be just as wonderful. I wouldn't give up my experiences, even though they were very painful.

Disagree, I would rather not hurt so bad after losing a relationship, but then I guess if you never had the relationship you wouldn't get to experience it.

Oh definitely! Can you imagine a world without love? To lose just gives you the opportunity to love again.
