normally abstinence would be the answer- but then you are married so you can have sex- your wife should get an IUD they are the most effective form of birth control- you can have it in for 5-10 years (depending on the type), the best part about it is that you never even have to think about it
She should call her gyno and get some information about it- most insurance companies cover it
Whatever you do do not get on the patch- I did that when I got married and my husband and I know have a beautiful 5 month old baby girl

Have her use the shot. I have use others before and this is the only thing we have used that I did not get pregnant on. Also you don't have to remember it. I get a letter in the mail when it is time to go back in.
I am not sure on the health thing but condoms are a pain and if you don't use them just right you will get pregnant.

I don't think abstinence is a good solution for a married couple...
You can try:
- the pill - there are a variety of choices
- IUD - with or without hormones
- Depo shot
It all depends how long you want to use birth control and what the other circumstances are... (IUD, for example, is not recommended if you're planning to conceive within a year; the pill is not recommended for smokers)

She maybe allergic to the prophylatic in the condom in which you have to find an alternative if there are any. Maybe using a method of birth control that is comfortable for her is the best solution for you. That is, you two are only having sex with each other and in a monogomous relationship.

Why do people say to abstain -- YOU ARE MARRIED.... you should be able to have sex whenever you want ... that is one of the many joys of being married!
Try the Pill or the Patch. An IUD would be good if you don't want children for a long time. Have your wife see her OBGYN to see what is best for her!
Good luck!

Why doesn't she try the Depo- Provera it's a shot you get in your arm every three months and you don't have any side effects sometimes she can get lucky and you won't get your monthly visit either. Let her know I've been on it for the past 3 years and it's worked great.

you could always try natural family planning. it's not as simple as taking a pill or slapping on a patch and it takes dedication and commitment from both of you, but it can be a really good thing. it could help you to be closer with your wife, it's easily reversible when you decide you do want children, and there are no side effects.

Me and my wife had this problem too. We tryed birth control, but it gave her such bad mood swings neither one of us could stand to be around her. We tryed condoms, but when they didnt break they gave her a rash.
We now use spermicide and I just pull out before I .......
I hope you find a solutions that works for you
Blessings

NO No NO Never just pull out!!! WTF!!! Use of an IUD is great! There are a few types the most common is the Marina. They place it on the uterus and it is good in the USA for 5 years you can have it removed at anytime and can be prego right away! I have used it and its great!!! No more worrying about anything!!
