Yes and I do it all the time. I move to other countries too get away from the hopelessness of North American life. I can't stand the grow old and pay taxes mentality. I need life to have meaning. In North America it seems like we live to work not work to live. We only get 2 weeks holiday a year that most of us don't have time to use so we put or efforts into picking the right colour for a house we barely have time to enjoy and picking out wine glasses we rarely use. I enjoyed my life in Afghanistan far more then Canada. I lived in Germany too and everyone takes time to enjoy themselves. This time I am going to Denmark and then Russian and I won't come back if I can help it.

All of the above. My job has a stingy boss who won't give me any raises even though I continue to take on more responsibilities, I live with a friend who's a spoiled brat and can't wait to get my own place, and I'm tired of the same thing over and over. Ugh. The story of everyone's life I guess.

I did "run away" a few times when I was in my last marriage ~ it was horrible ~ since I'm now re-married, it's all good. I have felt like running away from my job though ~ so when I need an escape, I come to yahoo answers !

I hate my job. I work with the laziest low lives of this creepy little town I work in. But the job itself has a lot of benefits, so I must put up with them everyday. I wish I could walk out the door and yell F YOU to all of them, but damnit if I don't need a dental plan for my kid. Life just sucks sometimees.
