work in the city, high pay, 8-5 regular hours, fun only on the weekends, or work in the country, flexible hours, low pay, a little more free time? Is it better to have a high salary, with a little more stress, not have to worry about finacial problems and have a little less free time than to work with a low pay and much more free time to goof off? And you can't pay the bills?

This isn't hypothetical - it's something I am getting other's opinions on because I must decide eventually

What I mean is, I can take this really good job with a large corporation and get alot of money, or I have a choice of taking a job with a smaller company in the country. These are my only 2 choices. There is no "well you need a little of both" - sorry

The country every time, high salaried city jobs are not worth missing out on the joys of living a life in the country, to smell the trees, to breathe the lovely air, to watch the wildlife - that's worth more than money. You don't need that much money in the country, especially if you are semi self efficient.

Ok well i don't really enjoy any citites except for New york for some reason.Anytime i visit a big city i get really depressed. And who says you can't make good money in the country. That is not true. You can have a bigger house in the country than in the city.More people live in apartments when it comes to the city. But there is also poor paying jobs in the city to ya kno. But money doesn't buy happiness fo sho.

Did you ever notice how poor people are a lot happier than rich people? Poor people realize what makes them happier in life and that is family. Their marriages last a lot longer because they work together to try and survive the days. When poor people have children, the only thing that they can give them is their love, attention and advice.
Rich people take things for granted. They think that money is everything. They get married several times and give their children money and nothing else. Money is cold and doesn't have any feelings.
If I had to choose, I would choose to be poor.

It's very tough to answer that. I think that happiness is first and foremost, but sometimes money (and I hate to break it to everyone) would really help people to be less-stressed, so that they didn't have to worry about bills. I truly don't know which is better.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A HAPPY JOB!!! that's why it's called work. pick the one that pays the most, always. stress is a given in any job so get used to it

I THINK THAT NEITHER OF THEM ARE OKAY. YOU SHOULD HAVE A JOB THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY AND THAT IS ABLE TO PROVIDE ENOUGH INCOME FOR YOUR BILLS. BUT WHO ARE WE KIDDING...WORKING SUCKS!!!
