like if your trying to undo a knot and you close your eyes and see it in your mind? what is that? is it something to do with pyschic? lol x

When your eyes are shut you have to rely on your other senses such as touch so untying the knot is easier because the brain translates what you are feeling into something you can "see" in your mind. This also works with sound, closing your eyes seems to make a soft sound louder.

No, its not psychic powers, its just your memory and concentration on a visual puzzle might work better without the distraction of more information from your eyeballs.
