I want to be a make up artist but i also want to be a make up artist. I don't know what one to chose PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hello. I wanted to have options I had 3. The first one was pharmacy tech, then make up artist and styleconsultant. So i just went in order, so if one doesnt work out, you will always be quailfied for something else. I really like what I do.
I am a make up artist I have been for 7 years and counting. I keep up with fashion because I am a style consultant have been for 4 years. Also last but not least I am a certified Pharmacy Technician for 2 years.
If you think about it they both come in handy and are related together. The one that you really want to do, go for that first. Then do the second one.

How old are you? How much research have you done into either of these fields? If you're really interested in being a makeup artist, volunteer with a local theatre group and learn something about how it is done. Then find out what classes you need to take to qualify yourself for the profession. There is quite a bit to it, and you will need to learn about anatomy, about art (so you can do the subtle or not-so-subtle shading for the effects you want) and about colour.
Fashion designing is also a wonderful career. There are several schools of fashion design, usually at college level, so you might want to find out what the pre-requisites are for admission to these centers of design.
Fashion design is an exciting career, as there is always the possibility, if you have the talent, that you can break through to become a top designer.
Don't let strangers, like me, make such a crucial decision for you. Go do a little research on your own, and make the decision for yourself, because it's your life.

They are two different jobs. I would prefer Makeup Artist. It's a pretty fun job along with the Fashion Designer. Yeah, Makeup Artist is better :]

Definately the fashion designer...
a makeup artist is kind of low on the totum poll..
If you make it as a fashion designer the celebs would respect you, rather than a make-up artist that would have to cater to a celeb.

Makeup artist if you really love applying all types of makeup on people's faces or Fashion designer if you love to design cute clothes.

Make a list why you'd like to do each one. I know it sounds sort of stupid, but do them on seperate sheets of paper, and see which is longer. I've tried doing it mentally, but then I cheat and make them equal. Or you can write two sheets of paper, ask someone to put the a paper in each hand and pick a hand. If you really want the other one, then you can choose that, but if you really like both careers equally, you'll stick with the one you pick. This is your future.
