I remember when Iwas about three my dad took me to a Cleveland Indians game in the Old Municipal Stadium. We smuggled in a bunch of food and snuck up to about the front row, cause there wasn't much security (or fans) in the old ballpark I guess. But anyway, that was the game that a fly ball bounced of Jose Canseco's head and over the fence for a home run. Something I'll never forget.

Everything seemed bigger and better. Summer holidays were longer, the sun shone hotter, when snow fell it seemed to be deeper and stayed longer on the ground. Born in London, every weekend my Dad used to take me round to different places like The Tower of London, Regent's Park Zoo, The Houses of Parliament at Westminster, Hampton Court Palace (I loved the maze). There used to be Saturday morning movies just for children which were absolute bedlam with kids running around all over the place and cheering their heroes in the Cowboy and Indian movies. Rock and Roll was new, stilletto shoes and big skirts were the fashion and there was very little gun or knife crime like we get today...

Muppet Babies and the Gummy Bears. TGIF, and Snick. Nick Toons like Ren And Stimpy. NKOTB, Color Me Badd. Blaming it on the Rain with Milli Vanilli. I remember teasing my hair, and spending summers at camp and at the beach. Crushes were so much more fun back then, and staying up all night seemed like the greatest thing in the world.
