for a good look yes take of the nail polish but no it should not hurt the nail.

I don't know if it'll hurt your nail but so the polish would look fresh and new I would encourage you to take off your old polish first.

u should definantly take old finger nail-polish off before applying new but the best would be to let your nails sit for a few hours before putting new polish on...

The old nail polish should come off because it will look better than if you reapplied new over the old. It will not hurt you nail if you keep reapplying.

If you dont use a clear base coat on your nail first before any color polish it will make your nails turn yellow!

when im in a rush i don't.....but i think you should,because if your nails polish begins to chip you will see the old color under it....i don't think it will hurt your nails
