The worst part about periods is the cramps, but they're usually not too horrible. Your period will most likely be at its worst when you first start getting them and your body adjusts to everything. Consider this a good thing- it will most likely get better when you get older.
I had the unfortunate experience of having my first period when I was sleeping over at a friend's house. Her mom was cool about it, but I was mortified when I found out her dad knew too. That's normal though.
If you've got a mom, she'll be a great source of comfort when you DO have your period. She'll tell ya everything you need to know.
If your question is about the fact that you're older and have never had a period, ask your mom to take you to the doctor. A series of tests will most likely be done, and then you can find out why.

Wait. so you just got yor period? did you mom buy you pads for when you start? If you dont have any pads or tampons then i would just use a lot of toilet paper. It wont work for a long time but go and tell your mom. Thats what i did. One of my friends didnt tell her mother when she got it. She hide is for like a few months. Tell your mom. She'll help. Even if you dont feel comfortable talking to her you should tell her. She will take you to Shopko or something. I would recommend pads for the first few times. And ifyou have to go swimming then you have to use a tampon. Just ask your mom. Im 14 and i got mine when i was 13. IM me if you have anymore questions. Luckelilme

Talk to your mom or a trusted female adult. They can help you and give you advice. Why are you scared? Did you just start your period and don't know what to do? If that's the case, then you need some pads. Ask that trusted female adult if you can use one of theirs, then ask if they will go to the store with you and help pick some out. It probably feels like you have a stomach ache, don't worry, it's just cramps and totally normal. Welcome to womanhood!

Every girl, has it at a different age, when I was 10 years old, in school we were learning about about the girl body systems, and they mentioned the period, the common age of having it is 11, but the highest age is 16, don't worry about it, you're just fine.

don't worry about it. it is a normal thing to go through. you'll get use to having it after a few months. if you want more information or help ask you mom. she'll help you out through it. she goes through periods too... having periods wont kill you. to help make you feel better and not feel bad take aspirin to help get the pain away and eat things that have iron in it like bananas. this way you wont be weak or anemic.since you lose blood you can become a little anemic and/or weak

Umm, well did you get it? And why are you scared? its a normal thing that every girl gets, you should be scared if you don't get it. If you afraid it hurts or something, it doesn't, its just the cramps b/c the stomach muscles start to contract too fast. If your not anxious to get it, then thats good b/c it ain't so great...
