Money doesn't buy happiness ,
No matter how much a job pays , if you don't like what you are doing , chances are that the job will not get done properly.
...........Been there , done that , I used to have an excellent paying job , a job that i had been doing for about ten years ,I loved it at first , but towards the end , within the last 2 years , I couldn't stand it.
Sure , the money was real good , but the stress it puts on a person is terrible.
Tempers shorten and jobs get done in a sloppy manner to the point where tragedy can happen.
Some people don't get the luxury of "choice" , which is a shame and very unfortunate.
My suggestion is , do something you enjoy , when you are happy with your work , it shows , and rewards follow.

Good paying job and hate it. I think most people are way too concerned with being happy all the time and forget that sacrifice and hard work can be rewarding too.
I'm fortunate enough to love what I do. I'm in commercial real estate finance and it's never the same thing twice. Every project is different. However, I worked a bunch of sh*t jobs along the way to get here. Including telemarketing and working 18+ hours a day at DiTech.com for $400 bucks a loan. Screw that place! Lol

With the first I could use the money to do other things that might make my life better, like vacations, Plasma TVs, etc. The answer depends on the particulars: can I buy enough with the money to offset my hatred of the job, or not? If I could afford to take a world-tour in my yacht once in a while, or even just take a cruise in the Carribean while putting my children through university, I could probably stand the shitty job, but much less than that and I would rather go for the job I enjoy and find a way to make ends meet with my writing.

Well, seeing as how I currently have a job that I really like and not enough money...I would probably say for my sanity's sake, this is the way I would like it. However, since I'm raising a family, I would rather have the money. I can always try and find a way to make my job enjoyable.
