I've read some of the books but I don't think I ever want to see the films. The same goes for American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis- read the book but don't want to see the film. The imagery in my head from the books is scary enough- I don't want to see some director's interpretation!
Speaking of psychos, the psycho who got tattooed just before me 5 years ago (my first tats) wanted to watch the "IT" movie because it was coming on the telly just as the tattoo artist was about to start on me. My reply? "Hell no!"

The Shawshank Redemption. I also love Rose Red (I own it), watched IT, Kingdom Hospital, and other made for TV ones. I don't like scary flicks, but he does the odd type scary I like.

Definatley either The Green Mile or the Shining. Those are two of the best movies I've ever seen. The books are even better, believe it or not! : )
