When your battery is fully charged it should last for 20 hours (for the ipod w/ video). When you go to Europe what you need to do is have the attachment that lets you charge your battery from a wall electrical socket. Then you need to go to Radio Shack(or Best Buy,Circuit City, etc.) and buy a electrical conversion kit that you can use in Europe.Explain to the salesperson that you want to recharge your ipod in Europe-he or she will know what your looking for. Then you will be able to charge your ipod while in Europe!! Have a great time and enjoy your music!!

The battery life on iPods does not last long because of a couple of factors. I have found that if you play games as you listen to music, your battery may lose charge sooner. Also, you may want to change the setting that keeps the light on when you select a new song. This will also help preserve the battery charge. Apple makes an attachment that allows you to plug the USB cable directly into the wall. Visit Apple.com to see if they make the attachment to fit European outlets.

Charging it longer then it needs will not increase the lenth of time that it will stay charged. just wait for it to say that it is fully charged. it will either say charged at the top or in the battery level display, it will show a plug instead of a lightning bolt. when you go to Europe, buy an adapter for a wall charger, so that you can charge it w/out a computer. the library might not allow you to plug anything into their computers. the adapter will allow you to plug an american wall plug into a european socket.

If you have a docking station leave it on that for a couple of days it will charge it for longer than usual. I left mine on for a month and i have not had to charge it for about 2 or 3 months lol!

My iPod is the same way, they just use a lot of the battery life. You might look into a docking station/charger that will work in Europe.

All you need is an electrical socket(that's only for wall chargers) and/or a computer. Then plug in the USB cord into the usb socket in a computer, or into the wall, and plug in your iPod into the cord your using. If you don't have a laptop or a wall charger, then your outta luck. If you want to buy a wall charger, then you could just go to like, Best Buy or circut city and buy one for...I dunno...I got my wall charger from my uncle, so i dunno how much they cost...or just get a laptop, LOL.
