u would need to install a PCI card, since that would be plugging a usb 2 deive into a usb 1 connection.
these cards about $15 or £10

Enviroman2222 is correct. You should be able to plug your USB 2.0 device into your USB 1.1 slot and ignore the warning message that comes up. Unless you are annoyed by the slow speed or are planning on transferring large amounts of data via USB, there is no need to purchase a USB 2.0 card.

If you have a laptop you would probably get a PCMCIA card and a desktop would most likely use a PCI card if you need the speed for USB 2.0. Check your motherboard manual or take your computer into a place like PCClub where they can do it for you if you are uncertain.

you probably have a 1.1 usb port which is slower than 2.0. It should still work only not at the 2.0 speed of the pen drive but rather the 1.1 speed. Try ignoring that message and try to use it anyways it should work.

Your USB port may not be 2.0 compatible.

A 2.0 port can handle earlier USB devices, but not vice versa. If you really want to use that pen drive, I recommend you get a USB 2.0 I/O card and install it.

Actually no need. Still can use the pen drive. No need to waste $$ to buy USB2 card, unless the pen drive cannot be detected.
