anytime you starve your body it goes into a conservation mode. when you begin to eat again, it automatically takes what you have eaten and stores it as fat in case you starve yourself again. not a good idea and not healthy either.

Starvation doesn't work. Your body requires a moderate diet with 3 meals a day to actually lose weight. Although your body will get reserves from stored body fat, the next time you do eat, because you have been starving yourself, it will replenish what it has taken from stored body fat while you were starving. Besides, starvation is NEVER healthy and can cause serious health problems.

Here's the little known secret for weight loss. Now really...you can't tell another soul because it's a secret.
The secret is that you have to burn more calories than you take in. But you have to nourish yourself too. So eat right and get your butt of the chair and out from in front of the computer and go take a walk or a run or whatever.

No. Your body stores fat for situations like starvation, so when this is used up you get dehydrated. Then when you eat again your body will store this food for reserves. The best thing is to eat smart and exercise.

Starvation works temporarily but in the long run, it makes it harder to lose weight. You will ruin your metabolism so that after so many years you wont even be able to smell food and you will gain weight. My doctor told me there is a gland in the brain that regulates metabolism. When we lived in caves it kept us alive by slow our metabolism in lean times, Now most of us dont have to worry about starving but our brains are wired to react when we starve ourselves.

any diet that leads you to decrease your caloric intake will lead to weight loss. However, the effectiveness of a weigh loss diet is measured in it's ability to keep the weight off in the long term, without severe complications.
An ideal diet is one that is part of a weight management program that allows weight loss and the maintenance of that loss over the long term. To be successful it needs to promote changes in the lifestyle patterns that led to weight gain.
While quick fixes are tempting, if the program's approach is not one that can be folloewd for a lifetime, it is unlikely to promote successful weight management.

By starving yourself you risk nutrient defficiencies which could lead to strokes, heart failure, sunken features, ugly hair and nails and even death. For a good weight loss plan, talk to your doctor or a nutrionist.

No. Your body is starving so it shuts down and starts storing fat, which will just make you fatter and you will lose your muscles. Diet and exercise. Even if it is just walking.

no never....eat 4 small meals a day...this keeps your metabolism up...and helps to burn calories...if you go on a starvation diet...your body "clings, or grabs" onto calories...(your body wasnt meant to starve)...so eat fresh veggies...fruits, beans..small portions of carbs....plenty of water...lost of exercise...and you will lose weight...and wont be all "light-headed"
