Do you have it washed and waxed for the extra $2.00 or just
the wash, blow and go type?

It's not just the money difference. I go to machine washes that recycle the water and dispose of any waste in a clean and ecologically-minded fashion.
Can most people who wash their cars by hand say the same? Or do they just let their soap suds run into the drain, river, stream, ocean?

it depends, with my 01 Grand Prix I actually really like hand washing my car myself..taking the time and seeing new wax and shiney tires, and a clean vacuumed interior...but life is fast so I do go through the gas station car washes when I havent had a chance for more tham a week..my 52 Chevy I wouldnt let anyone else touch to wash it unless they were female and topless..I spent way too much time painting the flames on teh car to let them get scratched

My husband washes his, mine, and my daughter's cars by hand almost every weekendI. Sometimes he'll wash 2 of them and then wash the one he didn't get the weekend before the next weekend and one of the other 2 that got the dirtiest during the week and alternate like that. He also dries them by hand with a chamois because he hates spots.

Defintely prefer washing it by hand.. As fun as it is to watch the machines clean your van, this way is much more fun! With the hose and the soap and the suds and the getting wet and whatnot, you can't go wrong!

this is hard! i'm too lazy to do it by hand, and too cheap to go to machine. i usually go to the spray it yourself car wash, that's a good compromise between the two.

Wash it myself, at home, even though it takes 2 hours... I like it to be really clean!!
