Don't buy a cheap mattress. It won't last.

I bought a matress/boxsprings 5 years ago for $500. It was sagging within a year and contributed to chronic back problems for both me and my wife. Spend the money, at least $800, and get a good quality matress. It is one place where you really see the difference between the cheap and the expensive models.
