French football skipper Zinedine Zidane is to give his version of the notorious World Cup final headbutt in an appearance on Canal Plus television. In an interview broadcast on a slight delay at 7:40 p.m. (1740 GMT) Wednesday, the captain is expected to explain the nature of the slur hurled at him before Sunday's incident by Italian player Marco Materazzi.

no i didnt hear that but lipreaders have already found out some of what materazzi said. so i guess we'll hear if he says the same thing.

Here is the article that mentions what materazzi may have said:
Zinedine Zidane's agent says the France captain headbutted Marco Materazzi in yesterday's World Cup final because the Italian made a "very serious" comment, the BBC is reporting.

Zidane appeared to react to something that was said and was dismissed for his violent charge into his opponent.

An Italian lip-reader told the BBC that Materazzi said: "I wish an ugly death to you and all your family." Zidane is thought to have just received news that his mother is in ailing health.

According to the lip-reader, Materazzi then said: "Go f*** yourself."

A Brazilian television channel, Globo, quoted lip-readers as saying the Italian defender called Zidane's sister a "whore".

Agent Alain Migliaccio told BBC's Five Live Sport: "He told me Materazzi said something very serious to him but he wouldn't tell me what."

The reason why Marco got a good headbutt from Zidane (i applaud him), was cuz Materazzi said "dirty terrorist" to Zidane, since his origins are from Lebanon, an arabic nation... Because of this racist act from Materazzi, Zizou, got a red card, and so when a player gets a red card they have the right to sue the player or the ref... so Zizou is apparently going to sue Materazzi, surves him right!

this is what i found on the bbc site:

BBC Radio Five Live asked for help from a deaf lip reader, Jessica Rees, who read the words phonetically to an Italian translator.

She deciphered the insult as being "you're the son of a terrorist whore" - a translation also carried by many national newspapers in Britain on Tuesday.

It's obvious that Materazzi said something to make Zidane turn around and head butt him. I'm interested to know what it was!

Yep...and I'm waiting to see what he says. But I also think that Materazzi should say something to explain what he said.
