Does anyone miss bacalhau, carnaval and warm weather? If you do please email me! I feel terribly home sick!

hi there.

i know what you mean but to have a better future we have to make sacrifices, and for me was move to London for a better payed job.

but do not desperate as there is some shops that sell Portuguese stuff, and some restaurants and coffee shops were we can go for some remedy for home sickness.

as for the carnival we have the one in nothing hill gate that is not to bad "not the same thing as the way we do, but covers for it".

i have been in London for the past 6 years and survived, so you will to... most of the stuff is fairly easy to find...

Isnt bacalhau, a typical portuguese fish, which is very famous in Portugal...?!?! or not?
And I dont really miss carnaval or warm weather, because theres warm weather every single day here.......!!
Ouchhhy its so hot hot hot here....unbelivable....
and its a good weather for beach...!!!

I'm not Portuguese, but I've been to Portugal and have eaten "bacalhau a braz" several times. Mmmmmm, nice! You are right, Portugal is a beautiful country, and the Portuguese are very nice people. All those who've been trashing them have probably never been to Portugal.

Bacalhau is cod fish...
I'm not Portuguese tho.
I'm American but i lived in Brasil half my life. I'm not that hot on cod fish, but yes i miss carnaval and Rio's warm weather. :(

Jaime, so de Lisboa, hang in there, I had bacalhau on Saturday it was great also had pasties de nata simply Delicious, i am in South Africa at the moment but I'm going now in September to Lisboa to visit my mother, nearby Campo Pequeno.Viva Portugal !!!Burn which country are you in ??
