Why is it that there are so many people around the globe answering other peoples queries? I mean why waste time searching for questions to answer to fulfill your day? Strange.

Because sometimes when there's nothing else to do at work, it passes the time. And it's also quite funny to read what people's questions and answers are. Well it makes me chuckle sometimes anyway :o)

Possibly for the same reason you popped in here and posted one...it's something to do. If my work day is slow, I'll pop in here and see who's asking what...apparently many people don't know how to use search engines, or just want to hear from another human that can maybe relate to what they are dealing with...
It's no more strange than people who spend time on online chat sites, myspace, dating sites, hobby sites, looking at porn, or anything else that has them glued to their monitor...

Comfort? Not sure about that but if someone needs advice and they ask it can't hurt to give them your view. Why is that strange? Wait were you the guy who sat in the back in class who never asked anything from anyone?

well mabey its becuase people may have the same questions and are just making sure that people have problems just like them. or mabey people are just bored and want to see what some idiots will put on this site. I do it for many different reasons.

Well it's a load of bal** we do it either to try and help people who may not know or we do it to show our superior intellect!
Some of us have nothing better to do! ( I , for example have presently run out of hash) and was just waiting for this sort of question!
So while it may all seem "Strange" to you it is very important to the likes of me and I have this "Strange" feeling that you will become as addicted (not to hash) as the rest of us!!

I suppose people like it.
I'm a teacher, and could answer questions all day long.
I love it when my students ask questions,
It shows the're interested.
I suppose the satisfaction is in the fact that on this site,
we show others that we are interested in them,
and we all enjoy that feeling
