English is pretty much a universal language nowadays. I've been all over the world and people speak english almost everywhere, although its not the official language of their country. I was traveling through the backwoods of Korea, and got lost. A korean man walks up to me and offers assistance, in perfect english. In China, students approach me wanting to converse in english. All over Europe english is common, even France. In many African countries people speak and understand english.
Whenever I travel to other countries I dont worry, because I know people there will speak english.

They speak English in the USA? I wouldn't have noticed judging from the fast food places, construction sites and 7-11's.
