You shouldn't change how you look to satisfy everyone else. I went through the same thing and I agree it can get very frustrating. But at the same time its good because when you get older you will look younger. This comes as an advantage sometimes because you can make bets with people to guess your age and win! I am 30 now and people still think I'm 23..that's the most common age I get told. Anyway, as long as you are happy keep things the way it is. I'm sure your boyfriend likes you just as you are so why change? Give it time and things will change. People look at everyone strange these days.....nothing you do can please everyone! Good Luck!

I use to feel the same way so i understand what you are going through. No that i am older i love the fact that no one can ever guess my actual age. Let people think what they want to think...you know how old you are and hopefully you have identification with you that proves it (in case you are ever stopped). You are too young to do this right now...its a trick i use to do. If this is still bothering you by the time you are 18 then do what i did, which is go and purchased a fake wedding ring and band. I did not have a problem anymore with people thinking i was a little girl. Everyone knows that you can't be that young if your wearing a wedding ring!

The only way I've found to really make yourself look older is makeup. I'm 19 and the other day someone told me I looked like a baby and closer to 16. First I wasn't sure how to take that but then my little brother was like just think when you are 40 people will think you are a lot younger so it will be a good thing.

I go through the same problem, I'm 23 but look 14 or 15 because of my height. You just have to let time take it's course, because if you were clothes that are too slutty or mature for you and makeup, people are just going to think that looks weird, and plus who cares what the hell people think. When we're 40 years old people will mistake us for being in our 20's, and they'll wish they could look like us!

You really can't if your features appear younger. I am the same way and was often stopped by security when in college. I have a soft voice too so telemarketers always ask to speak to my mommy. lol It will get better as you get older. You don't have to prove anything to a stranger because anyone who knows you knows he is not dating a little girl. Others don't matter.

wear makeup base, eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick... but don't go too heavy on it. also dress your age. but hay look on the bright side, when we're all 50 you'll look younger than 50 while the rest of us are envying u!!! I'm close to your age and everyone says that they think I'm older than i really am, but maybe it;s because of my maturity level. I'm not trying to brag!! but when i meet new ppl they think I'm like 19 or 20 because of the way i act. that may be another factor u need to look at, do u act your age?
God Bless!!

to my knowledge you really cant change the way you look. maybe you dress to young, maybe you are doing your makeup wrong, maybe you are a late late bloomer? Dont worry about it much. In life all that really matters is you, close friends and family.

Women spend half their lives trying to stay young looking. Apparently they spend the first half trying to look older. Wonder why men don't understand them!!!!!!
