I recently got a dual massage with my wife on vacation. When I flipped over I got an erection. Not due to being stimulated or turned on, it just happened. What, if any, is the proper way to deal with this? Due I ignore it, apologize for it, or what?

I am a certified massage therapist. I am a female of course, but ive had to deal with a few "at attention" male clients. Its normal to get an erection because of blood flow/restriction or to even be turned on just dont grab it and expect us to do something!!
. Usually if we notice we will just work around it. If its movin around or getting in the way we will walk away and give you a 5 minute break to gather yourself. I usually just throw an extra sheet or towel so the guy doesnt feel embarrassed.

Totally normal though kiddo.......no worries!

Any properly trained massage therapist will know that men are not entirely in control of their erections. Lying on your stomach with someone moving your body back and forth can stimulate your penis. It happens sometimes. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're aroused by the therapist. In fact, in a couple's massage, it is more likely that sharing the experience with your wife played more of a role than the massage therapist.

I think that a brief apology to the massage therapist is OK. Something like, "Sorry, I wasn't expecting that to happen", is sufficient. Any more, IMHO, just makes a mountain out of a mole hill.

You definitely want to make sure that your wife is OK with it and understands that you really just want her. (It's always good to let them know that.)

Groin areas are seldom massaged. There are few muscles there but there are sensitive nerves and tendons close to the surface. The side of your hip, like the outside of your but cheek is massaged so it depends on the exact area you are talking about. If in doubt ask before the massage and clarify what you are looking for.

Happened to me. Awkward....very, very awkward.

If you weren't with your wife, you could just request a happy ending....

What I did was turn over, as I was embarassed. Went away, then I grabbed a hand towel and threw it over myself when I turned back over once I was....down for the count, so to say.

If the masseuse was male, he'd just think you were watching your wife, if a female, she'd think you were horny because of her expertise. Don't worry about it, they deal with this all the time.

Ignore it. If you wife noticies, maybe apologize to her after but just keep your eyes closed.

Ask the massuese if he would excuse you and your wife while you take care of the problem.
