Nah these 2 equations have no solution.
5x-5y=25
x-y=5 ------------ (1)
10x = 10y + 70
x = y + 7
x-y = 7 -----------(2)
Equations (1) and (2) are clearly inconsistent. There are no values of x and y which will satisfy both equations, and therefore there is no answer

Have you covered the slope-intercept form of a linear equation yet?
Solve each of these equations for y
5x - 5y = 25
-5y = -5x + 25
y = x - 5
10x = 10y + 70
-10y = -10x + 70
y = x - 7
You see that the 2 lines have the same slope (1) and are therefore parallel (do not intersect)

One of the two euations are incorrect... When you give the correct equation, I will modify my answer to give you the soln.
The second equation (I think) should be 10x+10y = 70
in which case, you can divide equation 1 by 5 and second by 7 to get
x-y=5, ie x= 5+y and
x+y=7
putting x = 5+y in x+y=7, we get 5+y+y = 7 or 2y =2, ie y = 1
putting y =1 in first equation we get x-1 =5 ie x = 6
x = 6 and y =1

First set the second equation equal to x by dividing by 10
you get: x=y+7
Plug this answer into the x value in your first equation:
5(y+7)-5y=25
Solve for y then use back substitution to get x

First you want to isolate a variable from both of the equations, i ought to characterize y on the first simply by the indisputable fact that is already by employing itself and that is efficient. 3x+y=-8 which consequences being: y=-8-3x So now you sub this into the second one equation each and every time you spot y. for this reason: -2x-(-8-3x)=6 -2x+8+3x=6 now assemble like words: x+8=6 x=6-6 x=-2 Now plug x into both of the equations: 3(-2)+y=-8 -6+y=-8 y=-8+6 y=-2 for this reason both x and y of the pair are -2.

x is 6 and y is 1
5x ( 30) - 5y (1) = 25
10x ( 60) = 10Y (10) = 70

5x - 5y = 25.........................(given)
Dividing by 5,we get
x -y =5
By transposition,
x = y +5...................................Eqn 1
Also, 10x = 10y + 70............(given)
Dividing by 10, we get
x = y+7....................................Eqn 2
Comparing equations 1 and 2,
we have y +5 = x = y +7.
Or y +5 = y+ 7, which is absurd, and hence the question has not been stated correctly.

x=6 and y=1
(5x6)-(5x1)=25
5x6=30 and 5x1=5 so 30-5=25???
Don't know if this is what your looking for
