sit both your friend and your spouse down and work the problem out to see if there can be a middle ground before u just give up your friendship all together. involve everyone and keep no secrets!

You should explain that you have to cut this off becuase marriage is a commitment to one women and that marriage is your #1 priority. It may hurt and upset her but you need to cut it off dude, that friendship is bound to cause some uncomfort for your wife and her feelings come first not the friends.

If she is a real friend she won't be hurt or threatened by him taking care of his chosen priorities. If she is threatened then she is looking for something more and will simply cause problems for herself.
