I read in a magazine that you're supposed to splash warm water on your face, use your cleanser, splash cold water on your face, and then use your moisturizer. Well, in the magazine it said splash warm water on your face to open your pores and cold water to close them. Well, I have acne fighting astringent and acne fighting moisturizer. When am I supposed to splash cold water on my face? I don't think you should splash it on your face after you use moisturizer. Am I correct?

But, my exfoliant fights acne and so does my astringent. Where do I fit those in?

Hot water to open pours ...

Exfoilient ...

Cold water to rinse ...

Astringent with acne med's ---astringent is designed to close the pours, so here you are really sealing your skin tight ... the cold water is just re-enforcing and enhancing the astringent.

Then the moisturizer with the acne med's ... OK you've already sucked all the oil and closed your pours ... you don't want to get a dry flaky face and hopefully your moisturizer is complementing the other med's you used.

Yes, you're right. Warm water to open the pores, exfoliant, and then moisturizer.

Your on a daily basis moisturizer should be oil loose and body spray loose because of your pimples.
