I would keep David Ortiz. As long as interleague play continues, he will stay eligible at 1B. Vernon Wells offers pwer and speed. He reminds me of Bobby Abreau of 3 years ago. I would keep Jeremy Bonderman. He is only 23, a solid starter on a very good team and a horse that keeps on going and gets strikeouts.

For the pitchers, it's a tough choice between Bonderman and Hernandez. I think King Felix has the best stuff of the bunch and could be dominant, but he's thrown a lot of pitches already at a young age. They actually skipped him last time through the rotation to give his arm a rest, so maybe they're thinking long-term for him. Brandon Webb is a great sinkerball guy, but I don't think he's got more keeper value than either of the others, and Lackey is the odd man out.
I think that Jermaine Dye is the obvious choice to skip on offense, given his age. I would probably consider Prince Fielder because of his upside, too. Vernon Wells is only 28, so he should just be hitting his peak now, while Abreu will probably start a slow slide now that he's in his 30s.

What are we talking about? Keepers for next year? For the rest of this year? Is there a salary / bid price involved?
If it is just who do you keepo in a draft, there is not much point in hanging on to the youngest in hopes they will improve, since you aren't protecting their current low price.
Therefore I take Ortiz and Wells, and Webb. They are the best right now. I would expect that Abreu might be slightly better than Wells next year, but maybe not. Over a few years, Ortiz might decline more than either Wells or Abreu, but I don't think you need to worry about that now.
I like Webb, and I think as a sinker ball pitcher he is less likely to blow up than the others. We saw the difference between F. Hernandez last year and this.

David Ortiz.... No question, he is one of hte top players in baseball even though he is having a somewhat off year. Plus hes a 1B and though its the easiest infield possition to fill, its still a lot harder to get an IF than an OF.
Vernon Wells.... His last month hasn't been impressive but he has been a dominant fantasy force for the last 3 years and any team is better with Wells. 101/325 48r 101h 21hr 66rbi 10sb 35bb .311avg .971ops....these are great numbers for being only halfway!!!
Brandon Webb.... 9 wins and 2.65 era, plus over a hundred ks, this guy is no joke, and every year you can get the new RP, they come and go on short cycles, stick with the strong SP.

Ortiz- (the 2nd best hitter in Baseball behind Pujols)
Wells- One of the best young hitters in baseball and is a stud out in
the field.
Brandon Webb- This was tough I still think Felix Hernandez is gonna
be a star in MLB for a long time. You might want to
roll the dice on him. Hernandez has more upside
plus Brandon Webb is having a career year.

You can't go wrong by picking any youngsters
bobby abreu is on the way down so I think you shouldn't consider him.
For the pitchers, all 3 except john lackey are young and are on their way up.
I would keep bonderman because he might get more run support
