I agree. It expresses art in a whole different style. I do it all the time.

Graffiti to me is beautiful art in general, it must take A LOT of talent to do that, but where it is located is vandalism...ppl who do graffiti are very talented and a wonderful life could be in the future if they put on paper and sent it to a museum of art rather than on buildings and other things.

Depends on the reason for the graffiti. If it's a 'tag' then it's vandalism. Anything else is art.

it is art but since no one will acknoledge it for what it is alot of people considers it vandalism but then again look at what the world has got to say about art a few years back in manhattan a guy glued a glove to the street it was considered art so hey now a days anything can be art if someone got the money to back it

Street graffiti may be one of the last pure forms of guerrilla art. Of course the corporate world has taken notice. It's only a matter of time before some of the larger companies recruit individuals to paint encrypted corporate logos around cities. Then it's just mass produced plastic.

It is both.
The art depends on what they create. I don't think the gang scrawls are art or when it's just plain words without even the slightest at different colors, etc. However, when it is art it is still vandalism even though it shouldn't be whitewashed.

Graffiti is the highest art form left after the gallery industry became a cash whore. Take it to the street!

sorry i disagree, its all about location, most graffiti is about expressing a gangs message and not always beautiful, the only example i can think of is near Yankee stadium. there is a "mural" of the players but that isn't graffiti that took some time and effort.

Although it can sometimes be interesting and beautiful it is usually done on some one Else's property, therefore it is vandalism!
