Any claims the U.S. has of remaining in Iraq for its welfare and freedom have now been exposed for their falsehood.
Let us examine the details. Monsters serving as U.S. soldiers forcibly entered an Iraqi home. This alone is a punishable crime. One of them then shot and killed the parents and younger sister of a 14 year old Iraqi girl in her presence.
They then proceeded to rape this child (I find it shocking that the media continues to call her a woman), mutilate her and kill her.
They had no remorse, no pity, and no concern for her or her family. It sends chills down my body to recount this.
They then covered up their crime by burning her body. Only after one of them confessed in a stress debriefing months later, was this crime uncovered.
How many such chilling crimes have U.S. soldiers committed is anyone’s guess.
The U.S. should take full responsibility for this crime.

Yes this kind of act is disgusting and I sure hope no British soldiers have done the same, I'm not holding my breath however. Presumably all these cases we have been hearing about have been broadcast on U.S television including the 'Fox' news channel?
In cases like this I continue to think that corporal punishment is a good idea, eg if any british soldier is proven of any wrong doing , then he should be whipped, in public, maybe in tralfalgar sqaure for however long is appropriate for his crime he commited. Then sent to jail where he/ she is re-educated.

Clearly the person states she is an AMERICAN WOMAN but the idiots continue posing questions as if she was an Iraqi man. I am not surprised at the stupidity though. It is the hallmark of Repugs.
However, what these soldiers did, I am sure, was authorized by their superiors to instill terror in the local people. Invading armies have done this throughout the ages. Now those same authorities are framing these soldiers as a political game to show, look we are so honest.

My husband and eldest son both served in Iraq, with their battalion ;
1Black Watch
Royal highland regiment,
Once in 2003 and then again in 2004.
Speaking on their behalf;
They have NEVER heard of any British soldiers raping Iraqi children or women.
They played an important part in the liberation of Basra.
Then going further up the country , just outside Baghdad to Camp Dog wood, losing men along the way .
Sometimes the Iraqi women aproached the men,while they were on patrol in Basra city streets,and told them that they loved them and were so happy that they had come to save them from Saddam and his party.
These women were always escorted by men.
When the soldiers were redeployed to Camp Dogwood they were in the middle of nowhere so definately did not come into contact with women and families.Thier job was to stop insurgents going North or South of Bagdad.
My husband and son would love to know exactly WHO , WHEN,and WHERE these rapes took place , they can then inform the M O D IN THE UK .
oR PERHAPS THEY COULD LEAVE THAT TO YOU SINCE YOU SEEM TO HOLD ALL THE INFORMATION .

An American Mother ? Sure you are.
Look at the other questions this person has asked. Do these look like the questions of a sane American. I am English and i can tell that you are not American. Give us all a break and have the balls to just come out and say what you think. You must be thicker than you think we are not to see through your stupid little fasard. No go and pray and tell whoever that you have been VERY VERY naughty.

The Soldiers who are accused will have a trial. If convicted they should be punished. The people responsible for them being there should be punished also; Bush, Cheney etal. Criminals are entering our military as an alternative to jail. Is it really a surprise crimes are committed by some. Statistically its a pretty low number. Lower than in our society in the states.

Why on earth would you ask such a stupid question as that. What are you going to do with the answer, suppose I said 3, suppose I said 13,000.
You are just inciting anger and I have reported you.
There are youngsters reading this site for goodness sake.
There are attrocities on all sides in war, only a bigot would label an entire nation based upon minority actions. How many inoccents were abused in Iraq jails, how many people are raped in Britain every day? how many in America? how many all over the world? This is not the place to ask.

I have no use for anyone who would rape a female. We will take care of our own problems. I find it interesting that you filthy muslims would even notice the rape occurred, the way you treat your women. If it weren't for the political fodder that such an event creates, you wouldn't give a damn. I've been to your stinking country and seen how you people act. Now get your sorry *** off our website and go back to screwing your donkey.

Brits--face it, you've been had by Bush/Blair. You never should have followed us into this morass: 1) Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction. 2) we were all lied to by Bush/Blair. 2) Iraq wasn't a terrorist breeding ground when we went in. 3) The world is more unsafe and we're less able to take care of other problems because we're tied down in Iraq (North Korea). 4) Iraq is now in a state of civil war and we're trying to keep the peace in the middle of it. 5) we have absolutely no clear exit strategy or goals anymore for "winning" 6) Our boys and girls are caught in this hell and are being shot at from all directions and don't know which way is up. 7) Caught in this hell, people change and increasingly our troops are resorting to animalistic behavior like this... or prison torture, or reprisals for roadside bombs, or simply shooting up cars that look dangerous while approaching with families in them (like the husband rushing his wife to the delivery room) the only one that survived was a 10 year old child and The Washington Post carried pictures of her wailing covered with her familys' blood and brain matter--the only thing left of them. 8) Yeah, this is war, welcome to it...and it is a completely uneccessary and unwinnable one too, and we'll be paying the price for our leadership's stupidity for a long, long time.
9) Support our troops 10) Get them the hell out of there NOW!!!!!!!!

I cannot understand how any-one can defend this atrocity,if you cannot see that this was an evil act,you're sick in the head.I agree that there have been some awful things done by others,but 2 wrongs don't make a right.This child was raped and she and her family murdered by Americans.Charles Manson was'nt so bad,after all,the Oklahoma bomber killed more people,is that really the way you square the circle?Sick!

"Spiegy" - above, has it right. This an attempt to incite ordinary people to turn against their own government, but more particularly, its Military. The media are doing this all the time, so we don't need others joining in.
I find this lack of patriotism, truly worrying: How do you know the allegations are true? It looks like feminism first - country second. Your website references also say a lot about where you are coming from.
