Ummmmm...what is the relationship between this guy and you?

Your not the "other" woman are you?

82% of what assets???

He may be trying to hide other assets and is willing to give up most of what they know he has for sure.

He may also be trying to keep you from knowing just what he's got hidden away.

Bottom line, a man has no rights when it comes to a divorce.

In my youth I had a divorce, when my ex-wife decided to end our marriage when she had an affair and wanted to live with another guy. At the time we had a 3 year old daughter.

She got a divorce, all the furniture, the car, she would have gotten the house but at the time we rented a home. She got everything. I got to keep only my clothes and certiain things that were mine before the marriage.

I had to pay a $500 monthy in child support (this is in 1980) which was almost half of my take home income. In return, I got to see my duaghter every other week-end.

Bottom line, I had no rights, even though my ex-wife is the one that had the affair. I was not abusive or did I do anything wrong except I was fool enough to think we were happy.

If you are located in Ohio or Florida I have an attorney number for you...he is a spectacular domestics attorney. Please feel free to contact me online if in Ohio or Florida. The laws differentiate from state to state so it will be hard for an average person to answer this. Plus there are a whole lots of circumstances involved, plus are you sure the man you are putting your faith in is being honest to you....the problem could very well be him!!! Keep your eyes sharp and your heart safe. Good Luck to you in the future and I seriously hope if his soon-to-be-ex is as awful as he says she will be seen for what she is. If you are the future woman to be....be careful,if he is trying to hide "assets" from her...what do you think he will do to you if the same b.s. happens. As for what can he do to help himself...KEEP A WELL DOCUMENTED JOURNAL OF EVERY CONVERSATION AND INTERACTION BETWEEN THEM.Time/date/word-for-word detail
