I don't know any free songs.
But as for lyrics, there is always www.lyrics.astraweb.com and www.azlyrics.com.

Yahoo Launchcast allows you to create your own personalized radio station for free. It has commercials every 5 songs or so, but you're able to rate songs you like so mostly you hear songs in the genre you enjoy.
As for lyrics, try letssingit.com. You can search for lyrics by words, song name, album name, and artist. Good luck!
