The innocence of a child, as the story goes. However, there is no mention of a rapture in the Bible...

I choose to interrupt your question in this way. Who will occupy the White House after the 08 election. Philosophically speaking, I hope the person who is elected the next President is not angry at the world. The Republicans have behaved as if every person outside the United States, and many inside, are stupid, disloyal, humorless, dishonest, short and ugly. Well, they were wrong.
Thank God they were wrong.
The idea that we can ship an Army across the sea and launch an invasion into the most unsettled and dangerous areas of the globe to save the people of that said region from themselves is preposterous on the face of it.
We do not have the right to unilaterally decide to invade other Countries for the purpose of making them like us.

I guess, if you believe the mythology of the Rapture, it would have to be someone who had not been received into the Kingdom of Heaven.
And if you really are into the meta-drama of the whole tale, it might be the anti-Christ or one of his minions. Me, I don't buy any of that stuff --in fact I find it downright silly; and I find it actually scary that there are people in power these days who are into 'end times' talk.
When people who have control of nuclear weapons get all culty like that, there is a possibility of real widespread tragedy...

IF the rapture were ever to occur then who's in the While House will be the least of our concerns. Somehow I don't think that this will ever be the problem.

No one. The zealots are trying to take over, as no one has yet stepped up to the plate to remedy this situation, We are battling a bunch of IDIOTS in all directions. All we get are excuses. Sitting sheep? NEVER, there is power in numbers & always has been, it will take time. Hopefully sooner than later!
