Okay well it started last year when she started going out with him everything was going great until springbreak or so then he started acting funny and really mean then a couple weeks later he broke up with her at school and she was really really upset I think it was either april or may, after that he stopped talking to her and stuff though he claimed he still wanted to be friends, Now in July he comes back and starts talking to her and says he wants to get back together with her, but should she trust him really? after the last time he was really mean, she still has a LOT of feelings for him. . .. .IS HE STILL WORTH A TRY OR IS IT A LOST CAUSE??

He's had a really troubled childhood and is bipolar (not violent or anything like that) and there have been a few rumors that he is gay. ... .

I really don't think that she should get back together with him because he will probably do the same thing to her again. He will probably take advantage of her if she takes him back. Like keep doing this routine to her. Tell your friend to not be a softie (if she is) and take him back because like you said, he had a really troubled childhood and probably hurt her in the near future. Who knows, maybe she will find a nicer guy.
I wouldn't take him back also because there were a few rumors that hes gay.

Tell her to move on, if he was mean and hurt her the first time, then he will do it again. There are to many guys out there that would never hurt you, either emotionally or physically to be caught up on one that already has. Enjoy your youth, learn from your relationships and have fun. If a guy truly loves and cares for you, he would never hurt you.

I don't think he should go out with him anymore. He would most likely abuse her. Like ya know, hit her and beat her.
