Godfather II has all the flashbacks showing how Vito Corleone came to the United States and became the Godfather. Part I is an excellent movie, but the flashbacks in part II really make it one of the best sequels I've ever seen.

GODFATHER II. Withotu a doubt because you get to see How Don Corleone became the Godfather, and Damn Deniro plays if absolutely perfect. One of the best movies ever made!!!

It's very very hard question to answer, dear. If I give 9.9 to The Godfather, I'm givin' the same 9.9 to the second part. First: Brando & Pacino. Second: de Niro & Pacino.
Both the movies are equally rated high!!
If you ask me to pick any one among them, I'll choose the second part only. (Maybe it's because it's longer than the first part: we enjoy more the time!!!)

mine is Godfather 2, because De Niro looks amazing as young Vito, and Pacino looks awsome too....... and its more hystorical, and features the degradation of a society in two different points in time... i loved it.....!!!
