A fairly successful and pro-active way of trying to get work, is to think of what places you'd like to work, modify your CV/Resume according to each place, then go knocking on doors!
A HR manager is much more likely to read a hard-copy of a CV rather than one on-line, plus you'll have chance to make a good initial impression - even if your only leaving your CV at the front desk with the receptionist etc.
The more places you call into, the better chance you'll have. It's also much more esteem-building rather than just trawling the Internet looking for jobs.

Glasgow is great but the scots do seem to like a personal recommendation. Talk to people. Everyone knows someone who knows someone etc. Good luck

you live in glasgow... go to your local job center they will have many positions on view their, look in your local paper. send your resume to local companies, their are many things you can do to look for employment
